29th Solano Wine & Food Jubilee Returns to Vacaville

Jubilee Chairman Bill Seiden, left, and Rami Yanni look forward to seeing who will win a brand-new car from one of Rami’s Vacaville dealerships.

The 29th Solano Wine & Food Jubilee will take place at the opulent Sunrise Event Center in Vacaville on Saturday, April 23.

The event center, at 620 Orange Drive, should prove to be the perfect venue to host Solano County’s most elegant event, a benefit for NorthBay Hospice & Bereavement.

Presenting sponsors are Al and Patt Shaw, Freeman Family & Cosmetic Dentistry, Rami Yanni of Vacaville Nissan, Dodge, Hyundai and Buick GMC, Financial Architects Partners, Western Health Advantage, and DPR Construction.

The evening begins at 6:30 p.m. with sampling of the food, wines and brews offered by a number of Solano County’s most popular establishments, according to Bill Seiden, Wine & Food Jubilee event chairman.

An array of items—from exotic vacations to sports memorabilia—will go to the highest bidder in the Jubilee Silent Auction.

Dancing to the popular dance band The Rhythm Method 4 begins shortly after 9 p.m. But, before dancers take the floor, the winner of the top prize in the Jubilee raffle will be announced.

That lucky ticketholder can choose from one of three new cars, offered by Rami Yanni of Vacaville Buick GMC, Vacaville Nissan, Vacaville Dodge and Vacaville Hyundai. Choices include a 2016 Hyundai Sonata, Buick Encore or Nissan Altima.

In addition, $10,000 in cash will be awarded, according to Wendy Jackson, raffle chair. Raffle tickets are $50 each or buy two and get a third free.

For 28 years, this fundraising gala has helped NorthBay Hospice & Bereavement provide physical, emotional and spiritual care for the terminally ill and their families.

Jubilee tickets, for those 21 and older, are $125 each. Tickets must be purchased in advance and are only available online. For information, visit www.wineandfoodjubilee.org or call (707) 646-3133.
