Fashion, Fun & Focus on Females

June 2, 2010 · No Comments

Nearly 150 women were treated to lunch, a fashion show, and lectures on everything from getting fit and fabulous to restoring bladder control during "A Day for Women" sponsored by NorthBay Healthcare May 1.

Seven physicians and a number of local experts held workshops on the daylong agenda, which featured concurrent sessions so guests could pick and choose the subjects that interested them most.

"Whether we work outside the home or not, as mothers, daughters, wives and girlfriends, we tend to put ourselves at the bottom of our 'To Do' list," Deborah Sugiyama, president of NorthBay Healthcare Group said in kicking off the event. "We're hoping you will learn something new today, enjoy the company, have some good laughs and be inspired to spend just a little more time taking care of yourselves." A fashion show during lunch, modeled by a number of NorthBay employees and volunteers, featured clothing and accessories provided by Christina S, a dress shop in Benicia. The day ended with a meditative yoga session.
