Crafting an Innovative NorthBay Experience

Taking an innovative approach to create an enhanced patient experience and community partnership, NorthBay Health expanded the role of its Chief Philanthropy Officer in January, promoting Paul McGinty to be its first-ever Chief Experience Officer (CXO).

Paul is responsible for ensuring a seamless, modernized and personalized experience for all who interact with NorthBay Health, while at the same time, continuing to serve in his role as Foundation President, promoting a culture of philanthropy in Solano County and beyond.

As CXO, Paul collaborates with multiple departments across NorthBay Health, and is directly responsible for Patient Experience, Marketing and Communications and Volunteer Services.

According to President and CEO Mark Behl, the creation of this new position is enabling NorthBay to identify and integrate all programs and initiatives so there’s consistency to ensure that the experience throughout NorthBay matches the high level of care.

“Ensuring our patients have access to high quality, accessible, and affordable care is a top priority at NorthBay Health, and we are excited to see where Paul will lead us in this new role,” added Mark.

Paul is already looking to freshen up tired areas of the 63-year-old organization, especially in lobbies and patient care areas, and create a culture where customer service is top-notch, every encounter, every time.

Want to see signs of progress? So does Paul, especially when it comes to installing newly branded building signage throughout the system, which currently features the “vintage” NorthBay logo.

“We became NorthBay Health in 2022 and adopted a new logo, but we weren’t able to roll out the new brand because of financial difficulties following the pandemic,” explained Paul. “I’m happy to report our organization is in much better shape, fiscally speaking, and is ready to invest in ways that demonstrate our intention of remaining an independent, forward-thinking, bold and creative health care system that is consistently advancing medicine and putting the patient first in all we do.”
